The Utah County Fair will open Wednesday at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, and events and activities will run through Saturday.

Admission to the fair is free and open to the public, with some ticketed events in the evenings, such as the demolition derby and “Footloose”-themed concert.

Each night will have a different event in the arena fairgrounds, with most requiring tickets.

Wednesday night will have a concert with various musicians performing covers of the famed “Footloose” soundtrack. The concert’s preshow will begin at 7:15 p.m., with the “Footloose” performances beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10-$25.

If you missed the Fiesta Days rodeo last week, the fair will be hosting its Western night rodeo, which will be a free event with opening seating at the arena starting at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Friday will feature the monster truck show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $10-$17.

The demolition derby will be Saturday at 7 p.m., with tickets starting at $25.

Tickets for each of the events can be online at www.utahcountyfair.org/tickets.

Other free fair events include a horse show at 9 a.m. Saturday, a car show at City Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and the antique tractor pull at noon Saturday.

Each day will have various small business vendors, exhibits and food vendors, including fair classics like corndogs.

The county fair also hosts many exhibits from Utah County youth involved in 4-H programs. They include indoor exhibits, such as art projects and produce, as well as animal exhibits.

In addition to 4-H exhibits, there also will be “open class” entries, which will be non-animal entries for any Utah County resident in categories like foods and clothing.

There also will be a Junior Livestock Show with contestants showing pigs, lambs, goats and cattle. Shows will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a full schedule posted at extension.usu.edu/utah/4h/events/.
