String cutter broken off. Can't find info on this or getting a replacement part. Do I have to replace the whole safeth shroud? Or can I buy a part. Do not see a way to just replace the part.

Post reaction Geraldine MorrisApril 23, 2022How do I adjust the shaft angle? The illustration isn’t clear enough and there is no helpful text description. It looks like I’m supposed to stand on it, but I’m very concerned that I’m doing so, it might break the safety guard.

Post reaction Joyce GiordanoMay 4, 2023No written instructions on how to work this trimmer! The pictures are NOT at all helpful. If I don't know how to work it, I obviously can't use it.
Post reaction More comments (2) kamJuly 22, 2023When I put a new spool into the trimmer it doesn't stop the spool from coming undone. Like a spring is missing or a switch is broken. When I push in this button and keep it pushed in it'll stop the spool from unwinding, but as soon as I let it go and try and use the trimmer, it'll just unwind and come undone. Any fixes?
Same question (1) Type your response here Add my commentBased on the information from the manual, try the following solutions for the issue you described: 1. Check the line spool: Make sure that the line spool is properly wound and not tangled. If the line is not wound well, it can cause the spool to become loose. You can manually rewind the line following the instructions. 2. Clean the cutting head: Sometimes, grass or debris can get entangled around the cutting head, causing it to malfunction. Remove any grass or debris from the cutting head to ensure smooth operation. 3. Check the battery charge: If the battery is not fully charged, it may not provide enough power to keep the spool from unwinding. Recharge the battery fully before using the trimmer. If these solutions do not resolve the issue, please contact WORX Customer Service at 1-866-354-WORX for further assistance.

Same question Type your response here Add my commentTo disassemble the Worx WG163 grass trimmer for cleaning, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the trimmer and remove the battery. 2. Manually extend the line if necessary. Press and release the manual Line Feed Button while gently pulling out the line until it is long enough to reach the Line Cutter. If too much line is extended, remove the Spool Cap and turn the Spool counterclockwise until the line is at the desired length. 3. To manually wind the line, take approximately 10 feet (3 meters) of line. Insert 5/8 inch (15 millimeters) of line into the Spool holes and wind the line in the direction of the arrows on the top of the Spool. Leave approximately 4 inches (100 millimeters) of line unwound and place it into the cleat. Ensure that the line is neatly coiled on the Spool. Fit the Spool back into the trimmer. 4. Clean the trimmer with a dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners. 5. After cleaning, reconnect the battery and check for any damage.

Same question Type your response here Add my comment John GJuly 24, 2024I have the Worx WG163 and the line doesn't trim off. It continues to get longer to where I need to cut it with a scissors. It appears that the cutter that trims the line is broken. Is there a part that I can buy to fix this?
Same question Type your response here Add my comment@Maureen I thought that the cartridge is the spool that the string winds on. That has nothing to do with a broken string cutter.
